Like Mina said, there is something miraculous and delicious about getting lost in The Kiss. And god, first kisses with someone special…well, there’s got to be a touch of the divine in those kind of moments.

Sometimes, when you’ve been involved with someone for a few years, kissing seems to not feel the way you have described above. You have reminded me that it is time to get lost in the kiss again. I’ve had this kissing discussion with my husband, my cousin (whom I’m very close to), male friends, and even female friends. The one thing that I’ve realized is that my friends in a lesbian relationship kiss soooo much more than those of us in straight or gay male relationships. When I’ve thoughts about sex–both fantasies and early-morning dreams–there’s always an obscene amount of kissing. Now I’m beginning to wonder if I’m not in a kissing drought of my own.

My cousin (who’s married & is my age) says he looks at kissing as a means to an end. He doesn’t particularly enjoy it unless there’s hope of a sexual release for him. My question is why does there always have to be an orgasm with foreplay or sex? Can’t both partners just enjoy the hotness that is making out? Whatever happened to delayed gratification? What happened to being 15 and a virgin and just making out for hours on end the way we used to? What’s hotter than grinding against each others bodies and making out until your lips are red and swollen and your clothes are drenched in sweat?

So I guess I wrote all of this to say, “Thanks for making me ache for backseat-kissing.” and also “Please spread the word to married men that kissing is so super sexy and many of us women are in kissing droughts of our own.”
